Graduate Assistantship Available at Illinois State University

Greetings friends,

I am a little bit late to the game, but we will have a studio graduate assistantship for tuba or euphonium at Illinois State University beginning in the Fall of 2024. The 1/2 assistantship includes a full tuition waiver and a stipend of $650.00 per full month. Duties include teaching lessons to minors/non-majors/studio overload, assisting and/or directing our tuba and euphonium ensemble, coaching chamber ensembles, etc. Former studio graduate assistants hold tenure-track positions at universities, performance positions in the Air Force, Army, and Navy Band career fields, among others. Our School of Music is home to approximately 400 music majors and our studio usually enrolls between 17-20 tuba-euph majors.
