That thing on the trumpet mouthpiece is a Holton brand “tone intensifier.” I’m thinking that JK makes a similar thing for tuba mouthpieces…

I hold on to these to include when I sell a 345 to someone. Not that anyone would want to play it, but as a nice to have, as they were OEM.

nope, and they're usually "pre-sold"...ie. "when you get that one ready..." (etc.)
