Upcoming items at Bean Hill Brass

Post by arpthark »

Howdy folks,

Very busy, but I have some stuff to sell that I will be listing within the next couple weeks:

- 1870s Besson 3v Eb, overhauled and relacquered at some point, valves likely also replated, with very nice clean hard case and custom houndstooth pattern bag. Price TBD

- Elkhart-made Dynasty (stenciled Olds) 3/4 BBb tuba, ex school horn with all the associated bumps and bruises. $300-400?

SOLD: 1920s(?) "Conn-Standard" mouthpiece. Good shape, no nicks, plating all there, a couple tiny cracks in end of shank. $100

- Gard large top-loading gig bag in black nylon/cordura. $150

- Olds G French horn bugle with case, chrome plated. $75

- Tons of trombones. I have a King 5B ($1,000), an LA Olds Standard ($250), an Olds Recording ($450), a nickel plated Olds Special ($400), a 1930s Holton Revelation with super cool tuning screw mechanism ($350), and a Bach 42BO project/beater horn ($800).

Let me know if you have any preliminary interest in anything. PM or email beanhillbrass at gmail. Thanks!

Conn-Standard has sold.

The Besson needs a couple joints soldered and a bit of a cleanup and it will be ready. Fun little horn that plays quite well. It has been totally refurbished, I am guessing maybe in the 70s-80s, including replated valves that work great. Includes nice case and bag. I am thinking $650 for this one.

The Dynasty/Olds silver 3/4 BBb is just about ready to go. Waiting on a finger button. I think $350 will be the asking price on this one, no case.

Trombones are all ready to go except the Los Angeles-made 1940s Olds Standard (needs a slide lock ring).

Not sure when I am going to be able to take pics of everything but if you have any interest in a specific item, please let me know.

King 5B and Holton trombones are spoken for. I have also listed a few gig bags elsewhere on this site:

I have a nice, six-year-old Bach 42BO for sale, if you are in the market for a newish large-bore tenor trombone. $1,500 includes USA shipping.
