The Evolution of C. G. Conn's BBb Bass to 1935

Hi all - as I continue to research the 1899 Conn American Model Monster BBb Bass I acquired recently, I was curious to see where it fit in the evolution of Conn's BBb tuba. Here's what I came up with:

I welcome your input - esp. corrections of more complete dates - thanks!

I always thought the Grand Orchestral and the Jumbo were distinct models.
Nice work!
You know, you can right-click/option-click each underlined word and have your computer learn the spelling so that you no longer get the red lines. It gives you fewer distractions —
and — when you *do* make the occasional typo with one of these added words, it will correctly display it as such. Right now, I have both Mirafone and Miraphone in my spelling dictionary, so neither triggers the evil, red underline. However, if I type Mirahone it catches it for me.
This is about specific Mac apps, but it applies to the Finder, too.

This is the same for Windows.

Again, great work, Dave! I always enjoy reading your posts. Keep them coming!

Thanks - I hadn't even noticed that, but it's fixed now!

They may be, but they look virtually identical, and the specs are the same for both - 36.5 inches tall, weighs 25 pounds, and has a bell diameter of 21.75 inches. Even the cost is the same, $170, as is the tag line, "The Biggest Practical Bass Made."

Good to know. Thanks!

For some reason the simple table is not displaying for me. Just the name of the file.

Strange - it shows up for me. Does one have to be logged in to see attachments? Regardless, I'll put it here as well, and see if you can see it:

So, is a bass bigger than 37" tall and 25 pounds still considered impractical?

The images are not coming through for me from this or the repost link downthread. I'm not seeing them on any of my work computer (Chrome), my home computer (Mozilla), or my iPhone, either through Safari or Tapatalk.
Edit: I suspect it's because it's linked to your website, which is apparently not certificated. Some browsers will accept it, some won't, and it may also depend on the intervening network. I think I followed a link to one of your articles, Dave, and my browser informed me that it was "not secure" but it showed it anyway. I would suggest that you're gonna hafta address the site certificate issue, or figure out what may be wrong with any certificates you thought you had.

Thanks, Rick. That shouldn't be the problem, as the images that you are not seeing (while I am) are not tied to my blog, but simple jpg images that I uploaded to this post. I have no idea what keeps causing this, but I think I'll have to give up - for now. So sorry about that!

Also, if it helps to know, I can view the jpg's I attached on the computer from which I loaded them to create this post, but I can't see them on any of my other devices - laptop or iPhone.
