new JP274 lacquer finish compensating euphonium outfit

Post by bloke »

previously top secret:

There was a new one on display at NAMM, which is finishing up, today.

I snagged it.

These sell faster than we can get them in to the warehouse.

Someone is going to want this. :eyes:

The first one to contact me, approves my typically-priced-to-sell blokeprice, and pulls the trigger... gets it.

If you're the first/second/third respondent, and - when I quote the price - your response is "whoops - sorry, that's still too much for me," you and I will still be friends.

(I'd prefer that you use the email address in the signature - below:)

They remind me a lot of "vintage Besson", except not-worn-from-decades-of-"love" valves.

(but sorry: no brown faux-alligator case...just a really thick/sturdy molded case)

Same, I went back and forth for 2 years if I wanted to upgrade to an Adams. I finally did it, but it's a close 2nd for a fraction of the cost.

also smaller bore (.580" - "regular" side...larger on the compensating side) so less work.

I (even though I'm only a doubler-quality player) have both a smaller bore and a very large bore euphonium...
smaller: for when I actually am asked to play "euphonium" stuff.
larger: for ophicleide, serpent, and Robert King 5th-parts-of-quintets: "baritone" parts, as well as "bass trombone" parts in "written-for-the-American-Brass-Quintet" quintets, etc.

This instrument is no longer at the warehouse, and has arrived here...so (if anyone is within a 6-hour-or-so r/t of blokeplace - or as far away as suits you), and would prefer to try-and-buy without having it shipped after paying...COME ON !!!

yes...We're PERFECTLY WILLING TO SHIP.

I will be in the Sheboygan/Manitowoc, Wisconsin area (and could bring it along) on Saturday/Sunday JULY 30/31 - if not already sold.

These are supplied with a STURDY (NOT "zipper") molded case and a REALLY DECENT "REAL" EUPHONIUM MOUTHPIECE (so there isn't any sort of immediate need to spend an extra $100 on some "better" mouthpiece).
