TWO different very fine trumpet-playing doctoral students (same university) in less than a month ended up with ALL FOUR of their trumpets damaged after their ($400 - $800) quad cases fell on the ground.
- The first one dropped his (from only carrying height).
- The other one had a carrying strap to break (didn't fall much farther).
Those cases (one from South America and one from the UK) are bull$h!t.
me...??
I spend about three or so hours fixing those eight trumpets.
I did REALLY nice work - and I now have mo money...but they have less money, and (probably) would have chosen to not have to have been in a position to have been "pleased" with how good my work was.
LOL...I tried to report this to the huge trumpet players' fb page, and their responses (with 110% of them being over-the-top ego slobs) posted even more non sequitur responses than we do here.
HEY TRUMPET PLAYERS: Your expensive-@$$ boutique quad cases are $h!tty !!!

My tuba quad case was made in Japan.
2200 CC five speed, Front wheel drive, four doors and a lift back.
I can probably get six in there if I needed so many

Oh yeah the cliché about eggs in a basket
