Most of my playing is CC, but I greatly prefer (my) F for most quintet/ chamber work. Honestly, I probably like my F more than my CC, but both are very nice instruments.

Re: Cronkhite status?
I was trying to say that I thought it was a waste of money. I think my C note saved me something like a week. Not what I would call a high-value expenditure.
Agreed, it didn't really save any real time for me either. They have been working hard to decrease turn around time. It was a noticeable ...

Re: Cronkhite status?
I bought a bag in Jan '24 and another around this past Christmas.
The first bag took about 16 weeks. The 2nd bag I paid an extra fee (around $100 or so) to cut the wait time and it took about 9-10 weeks or so, but that was with the holidays in there too.

Re: For You MP Gurus Out There
If you want a Helleberg style rim and a Bach 18-ish cup.
I wonder if you'd like the Laskey 32B, or 32G (the B is deeper, the G is more lively, but not shallow either). I really like the 30H, but it runs a little too sharp leaning on my current horn, I image a 30 or 32H might be worth trying on the ...

Any update on this design?
There may be a few run off (again, on a lathe a helluva lot better than mine) in two or three weeks, but they would be un-plated, at that time.
I will tell you (if I didn't already mention it above) that it's more of a bowl cup and not shallow...
