Hello,
I’m currently studying tuba in college and I’m looking to get a larger horn. I’m currently playing on a Meinl Weston 37 and would be more than happy to trade, but I’m also fine with just paying for the tuba on its own. I would prefer to have 4 pistons and a thumb operated 5th valve. I live in Maine, but would be willing to travel long distances to pick up the horn.

Re: Looking for a 6/4 5v CC tuba
Lee Stofer has a very nice Holton/Kanstul CC tuba for sale. It is listed on his "Instruments in Process" page on the website. We have not taken photos for the ad yet, but I played it for a concert series. It was a good time. I would be happy to answer any questions about that tuba or feel free to reach out to Lee.

Re: Looking for a 6/4 5v CC tuba
It’s not necessarily that it’s limiting me greatly, but I’ve tried a few larger horns and have found them to feel much more open and much easier to play. I’ve also spent enough time on both a rotor and a piston horn to say that I prefer playing on a piston horn. I’m also largely trying to just put feelers out for what horns are out there.

Careful with this one. Likely a scam!icgTuba wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 9:15 pm I have an Eastman 836 I’d be interested to sell.

Searching icgTuba's email address listed above shows some legit hits on TubeNet, so he is likely a real person and it's very likely not a scam.Almimono wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 8:20 pmCareful with this one.
