Re: My Visit to Buddy Roger's Music
Thanks for all the kind words, and David, I enjoyed your visit. Thanks for spreading the word about our little shop in Cincinnati. I'm working to stock what players of all levels are searching for and to be a help where I can. We're living in a pretty good time for tuba and euphonium equipment with ...

Re: WTB Kurath F tuba Gibag
Unfortunately, not from this manufacturer. I am actively searching for an alternative but don't yet have an ETA or more specifics. I have a Soundline bag for a B&S GR51 that fits well but not as snug as a custom-built bag. It is a top loader, padded very well, and has very good backpack straps. I ...

Update: incorrect order was delivered and I do not have any bags for 3200/3400 instruments. My apologies for possibly getting anyone's hopes up.

Adams does indeed make all their marching brass in The Netherlands and Pearl is the US distributor of them, along with all Adams percussion. Their Custom/Select lines of instruments are available through dealers.

Re: Buddy Roger's at TMEA
Thanks for the many suggestions and links to videos. The first steps have been taken to locate a suitable recording location, equipment, and background. Next is still photographs in high resolution for the website and B-roll for videos. My idea for each video is to highlight the instrument's ...

Re: Buddy Roger's at TMEA
My goal is to do just that, time allowing. We have the instruments and good recording gear now, I just need to get the recordings done, edited, and posted, while completing customer repairs. It’s always a task to keep all the balls in the air.

The "Moldau" models have made the biggest stir lately, and we have ten examples in keys of BBb, CC, and F. I would love to hear your feedback as well because that can only make the products better. Lubos Hlavaty, the CEO of Lidl, made the trip as well and is excited to hear your thoughts.

Re: Special for Super Bowl Sunday….some of Mike Lynch’s super tuba collection played by Chris Olka on a visit
I played that Lyon & Healy right after it was completed and I was blown away. I would love to play it again to remind myself what it was like. It was the belle of the ball at the 1999 Army workshop, if I'm remembering my dates correctly. David Zerkel used it to perform the first movement of the ...

Buddy Roger's at TMEA
Sending all our Texas friends a heads up that we will be exhibiting at TMEA next week in San Antonio. I've got a truck full of Lidl tubas, oval baritones, and French horns, along with a lot of Schlipf mutes and mouthpieces from many manufacturers. We'll be located at booth #695, right next to the ...

Re: Gig bag for Cerveny ABB 681
The "legacy" models from Cerveny and Lidl share the same basic dimensions. The 681 hasn't really changed body/bell so the bag fit should also be the same.

We will also be exhibiting at TMEA, our first time. I'll also put in a plug for the US Army Band's Tuba-Euph Workshop held at Ft. Myer, VA at the end of this month. This is one of the best shows to attend to get your fill of playing, listening, hanging out, and putting hands on many instruments ...

Will be there with many bells. I have lots of tubas and euphoniums in the showroom right now (Lidl, Eastman, Willson, Adams, Yamaha) along with gig bags, Schlipf mutes, and more accessories. Might need a bigger truck.
See you all there.

Re: Eastman EBC834…keep an eye out…
Combination is an appropriate description from what I've been told. Sorry I can't be more specific but the model is still in early prototype status. I haven't seen or played one yet but I'm excited to give it a go.

Re: Rudolf Meinl Tuba review
I, too, love my RM tubas, a 5/4 F and 4/4 CC. I've had them both for over 20 years and won't part with them. I had a silver 4/4 CC made for the USAREUR Band in Germany in 2006 and if I ever run across that instrument, I will have to own it. Those two are the best playing examples of that model I've ...
